Privacy Notice

References to “DAYPOP ”, “our”, “us” or “we” within this notice are to DAYPOP TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS L.L.C., a limited liability company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates. References to the “Group” within this notice refer to DAYPOP , to DAYPOP Holding Ltd and its direct and indirect subsidiaries from time to time (which include DAYPOP ).

References to “you”, “your”, “yourselves” and “yourself” are to the individual who uses the Almualm application (the “App”).

This Privacy Notice describes our privacy practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information in connection with your use of the App.

Personal data collection

We collect and store personal information about you in our records, which includes but is not limited to your name, age, gender and mobile number, and other information we collect that relates to your use of the App. Separately you may also choose to enable certain settings or permissions on your device that allows our App to receive data that your device collects about you, including, but not limited to, microphone access (if you choose to enable audio related features), camera (if you choose to enable the photo/video related features), and storage (to allow us to receive your audio/video recordings from your phone).

Information sent by your device

We collect certain information that your mobile device sends when you use our App, including but not limited to, device identifiers, software and operating system names and versions, hardware models, as well as other information about your use of our App.

Device Permissions

There are various device permissions that our App may request, including but not limited to, camera and microphone access, and your device storage. You are free to allow, disallow, or revoke any of these permission requests at any time, however some features of the App may not function properly without the permission being granted.

Purpose for processing personal data

We will process the personal information we collect and store for the purpose for which we collected it, including:
  • to register you as a user of the App;
  • to enable you to use the App;
  • to manage your relationship with us;
  • to improve the App, our website, products and services, marketing or customer relationships; and
  • to recommend products or services which may be of interest to you.

Security, retention and transfer of personal data

We use a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information and we will retain it for the purposes outlined above, for necessary purposes and for our legal obligations under applicable laws. We may share your personal information with our and our Group members’ employees, contractors, consultants and service providers who may require the information to assist us, including parties that provide products or services to us or on our behalf and parties that collaborate with us to enable your use of our App.

We may share your personal information in other circumstances, including by law, or if we believe sharing will help to protect the safety, property, or rights of DAYPOP, or of our or our Group members’ customers, employees or other persons.

How long we keep your personal data for

We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

With this in mind, we have determined that:
  • Upon cancelling your account, we will store all data related to your account, for up to six months from the date of cancellation before permanently deleting it.
  • We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation or other regulatory enforcement or action in respect of our relationship with you and/or your use of the App.

If you choose not to provide your information

If you inform us that you do not wish for your data to be collected pursuant to this notice, then we reserve the right to refuse your continued use of the App.

Your rights

You have a right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict regarding your personal data. Should you wish to exercise them, or if you have any concerns as to how your data is processed you can contact us at ALMUALM@daypop.ai.
